Bjarte Bruheim
Board chairman
Bjarte Bruheim graduated from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, in 198,1 with an MSc in physics and electronics. He then spent the next 10 years working for Geco (now WesternGeco): the first five years as operations manager, Europe and the Far East; and from 1986 to 1991 as vice president operations, North and South America. Bjarte is one of the founders of Petroleum Geo-Services and was its president and chief operating officer until 2001. Bjarte brings with him worldwide business and operational experience in addition to his knowledge as a board member, chairman and president of various US and Norwegian public companies.
Jeffrey A. Harris

Jeffrey Harris joined Warburg Pincus in 1983. He became managing director in 1988. His investment activities have covered a wide variety of geographies, enterprises (from start-ups to buyouts) and industries, including information technology, energy and industrial products. Jeffrey worked in London, UK, from 1991 to 1994 as the senior partner in Warburg Pincus's European venture investment activities. Currently, he oversees the company's energy investment activity, having helped to develop this practice area since 1995. Jeffrey is a member of the firm's executive management group, and his current board seats include Bill Barrett Corp., Competitive Power Ventures Inc., Knoll, Inc., Kosmos Energy LLC and Nuance Communications, Inc.
Jeffrey received a BS in economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA, in 1977, and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1981. He is a past chairman of the National Venture Capital Association, and currently a member of the board of trustees for the Cranbrook Educational Community, Michigan. In addition, Jeffrey teaches a course on venture capital at the Graduate School of Business, Columbia University, USA.
Berit Svendsen

Berit Svendsen holds an MSc in Electronics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) (1988); and a master of technology management from NTNU and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA (1995). She joined Telenor in 1988 as a research scientist. From 2000 to 2005 she was executive vice president and CTO of Telenor and also working chair of Telenor R&D. In January 2005 she took up the position as vice president and head of Telenor Nordic Fixed with overall responsibility for the fixed network business in Norway. From 2002 to 2007, Berit was a member of the European Commission/IST Advisory Group. She joined Conax as CEO in May 2008.
Grethe Høiland

Managing Director, Lyse AS
Grethe Høiland is managing director of Lyse (Nett) AS. She is a graduate engineer in electrical power engineering from the Norwegian Institute of Technology (NTH) in Trondheim, Norway, and has completed a foundation programme in business administration at the Norwegian School of Management (BI). Grethe has broad experience from senior executive posts in the energy sector, including in Statoil, and has served on a number of boards.
Stig Eide Sivertsen

Stig Eide Sivertsen has extensive management experience gained from a number of senior positions. He served as chief financial officer of Petroleum Geo-Services (PGS) from 1993 to 1996, following a four-year period in the same role for Schibsted AS. He founded Nettavisen in 1996 before joining Telenor ASA where he was a member of the global executive management team for more than ten years, among other as chief executive officer of Telenor Broadcast Holding AS. Mr Sivertsen has served on a number of boards, including several listed companies.
Cecilie Arentz

Cecilie Arentz received her MSc degree in biophysics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Norway, in 2001. After graduation, she started working as chief engineer at the neurology department/medical technical department at Haukeland University Hospital in Bergen, Norway, where she stayed for nearly five years. Arentz then joined EMGS as an offshore field geophysicist. After one year in that position, she spent six months as a surveyor and offshore manager trainee. She then worked for two years as offshore manager. Cecilie currently holds a position as QHSE Manager.
Friedrich Roth

Manager, G&G Solutions, EMGS
Friedrich Roth received his MSc degree in geophysics from the Colorado School of Mines, USA, in 1999. In 2005 he completed his PhD degree in technical science from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. From 2004 to 2006, he held a Marie Curie research fellowship at the Schlumberger-Riboud Product Center, France, in the area of resistivity borehole imaging. In autumn 2006, he joined EMGS as a senior physicist contributing to the development of the scanning product. Friedrich currently holds a group manager position.
Linda Anita Haugen

Linda Anita Haugen completed her Norwegian law degree in 2005. During her studies she worked part time in Fana Sparebank in Bergen, where she also continued working for a few months after graduation. Linda then moved to Stavanger, Norway, where she worked as contract coordinator for Roxar. In 2007, she relocated to Trondheim, where she joined EMGS as project manager. Haugen currently holds a position as international contract manager.
Vidar Furuholt

Vidar Furuholt completed his MSc in numerical mathematics, at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway in 2002. After joining WesternGecoas as trainee in 2004, he worked as an R&D geophysicist until 2007. Vidar started working for EMGS as team leader G&G software in January 2008, and acted as VP G&G in February/March 2009. He currently holds a position as project champion for client adoption, and also acts as technical coordinator for the collaboration between EMGS and Fugro.
