Bjørn Petter Lindhom, Chief Executive Officer & President EMGS NSA

Bjørn Petter Lindhom has more than 15 years of oil and gas industry experience. He has an MSc in physics from the University of Oslo (2001) and joined EMGS in 2003 working as a field geophysicist offshore. In 2005, he was transferred to Houston where he held various technical- and sales positions. He was responsible for the company's activities in Mexico and subsequently all of Latin America where EMGS secured two of its largest contracts to date (PEMEX and Petrobras). In 2011, he was transferred to Rio de Janeiro and in 2012 he returned to Oslo. Bjørn Petter held the position as President of Europe, Middle East and Africa until he moved to Houston in 2016 to take on the similar role for North and South America.

Lindhom took on the position as interim CEO in December 2018 and was assigned this position permanently as of June 2019. 


Hege A. Veiseth, Chief Financial Officer

Hege has worked for EMGS since 2007 and has been the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of EMGS since 1 January 2016. Prior to becoming the CFO, Hege was Group Finance Manager of the company. Before joining EMGS, she worked as an auditor for EY for 7 years, including as auditor for EMGS. Hege has an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and an MSc in Accounting and Auditing from the Norwegian Business School (BI).

Dag Helland-Hansen, Business Unit President EMEA & Global Exploration Advisor

Dag Helland-Hansen joined the management of EMGS as Global Exploration Advisor in April 2018, with primary focus on supporting management and the global sales organization on strategy, adoption and sales. Dag brings with him Exploration Management and G&G experience from Norway and abroad as he has worked in various capacities for companies such as AkerBP, Tellus, Svenska, Idemitsu and Chevron. Dag holds an MSc degree in Reservoir Evaluation and Management from Heriot-Watt, Edinburgh, Scotland, in the UK and an MSc in Petroleum Geology and Geophysics from the Norwegian Institute of Technology.

  Atle Lund

Atle Johan Bull Lund, Business Unit President Asia and Pacific

Atle Lund joined EMGS in 2005 as a field geophysicist and later on senior engineer on our source and receiver systems. For 10 years he was operations manager, located for periods in Norway, US,  Australia and Malaysia. Atle brings with him a strong technical and operational background from his extensive track record in the Acquisition Department. Atle holds a M.Sc. degree in Physics from the University of Oslo.


Lars Petter Solevåg, Business Unit President NSA

Lars Petter Solevåg joined EMGS in 2006 as an offshore Field Geophysicist and later worked as Senior Engineer for global geophysical support in Trondheim, Norway. In 2010 he transferred to Houston to be Operations Manager for the North and South America region, working on several multi-year acquisition contracts for PEMEX, Petrobras and various IOCs.  After completing his MBA, he transferred into a business development role in 2014, also based in Houston. In 2019 he took over as BU President for the North and South America region. Lars Petter has a Bachelor degree in Telecommunication/Computer Sciences, a Master degree in Electronics and Signal Processing from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and a MBA with an in-depth study of Oil and Gas from the University of Middlesex in London.


Markus Skarø, Vice President Acquisition

Markus Skarø has worked for EMGS in various operational management roles since 2006. Skarø started his EMGS career as Offshore Manager and after working offshore he moved to an onshore role as Operations Manager. In 2010 Markus was formally appointed VP of Acquisition, with responsibility for the world wide marine geophysical operation. After 18 years in the geophysical industry, seismic and EM combined, Markus has dealt with operational challenges in many countries and managed various organizations and equipment. Markus is Maritime Engineer, nautical science, by education.


Friedrich Roth, Vice President I&I

Friedrich Roth manages our imaging & interpretation services and associated support and technology functions. He has more than 10 years of experience in the geophysical and oil field services industry, working with resistivity measurements applications in oil and gas exploration. His career started at Schlumberger as a researcher on borehole resistivity imaging. Following his move to EMGS, he held technical and managerial positions in R&D and our geophysical production organization before taking on his current role as VP of Imaging & Integration in 2012. Roth is educated as a geophysicist and holds a MSc degree from the Colorado School of Mines, USA, and a PhD degree from the Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. 


Ellen Fossbakk, HSE & Quality Manager

Ellen Fossbakk joined EMGS in 2017 as HSE & Quality Manager, in charge of HSE, Quality Management, Offshore Training and Document Control in EMGS. Ellen has extensive experience within the offshore operational safety industry with a track record from DetNorske / AkerBP, Varg and Teekay Offshore. She came from the role as Authority contact and Senior HSE advisor in AkerBP in the Ivar Aasen Development project. Ellen Fossbakk holds a MSc degree in Physiology and Environmental Biology from NTNU. In addition she has a background as professional diver, educated at Haakonsvern.

Øyvind Greaker Bjørndal, Chief Legal Counsel

Øyvind Greaker Bjørndal has been the Chief Legal Counsel of EMGS since September 2017. Before joining EMGS, Bjørndal worked as a lawyer at the law firms Michelet & Co and BA-HR. His previous work experience also includes serving as a deputy judge at Kongsberg District Court. Bjørndal has extensive legal sector experience from the E&P industry, including contract & corporate law, compliance, dispute resolution and equity and debt transactions. He holds a Master of Law from the University of Oslo, Norway. Bjørndal also serves as the Compliance Officer of EMGS.



Even Selnæs, Vice President Human Resources 

Even Selnæs graduated from Trondheim College of Engineering in 1994, and later combined that education with management studies in strategy and human resources. He started his career within operational information systems management, but after a few years he moved into managerial roles. Since 2001 Selnæs has worked in the human resources field. He has a combination of technical education and line-manager experience combined with over 10 years of experience in human resources. Selnæs has international experience, through his period in Atmel Corporation, as well as in his various roles at the Telenor Group. Even Selnæs joined EMGS as VP HR in March 2014 and oversees the global, human resources agenda in EMGS.
