Dave Ridyard graduated from Durham University (England) with a double honours degree in applied physics and electronics, and has over 25 years' experience in the marine seismic industry. He started his career with Geophysical Services Inc. in the early 1980's, where he held a number of positions in operations and R&D. In 1989, he founded QC Tools, which developed and marketed offshore seismic and positioning quality control products and services. QC Tools was acquired by Input/Output (now ION) in 1994. During almost 10 years with Input/Output Dave held a number of executive positions in product development, sales and marketing of marine products, including ocean bottom cables, towed streamers, airguns and control systems. He joined EMGS early in 2006 as product champion for 3D and scanning and became president of EMGS Americas in May 2008.
