Jens Ensted Danielsen gained an MSc in geology and geophysics from the University of Aarhus, Denmark, in 2000. He then went on to specialise in geophysical, electromagnetic methods at the same university, and from 2004 at Lund University. During those five years Jens also ran a consultant company, taking on assignments for the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and for majors in the Danish engineering consultancy industry. In 2005, Jens joined the geology and geophysics department at EMGS as senior geophysicist. He later became project manager, and in January 2008 he took on the role as head of the department.
