Custom-designed surveys that meet project objectives

No client has the same objectives for a seabed-logging survey, so EMGS offers a comprehensive range of survey types to address each specific need. For example, receiver spacing is customised to reflect the survey objectives.

• Widely spaced grids of receivers are used to detect hydrocarbon reservoirs in vast areas of unexplored ocean.
• More closely spaced receivers on single or intersecting survey lines are well suited to applications such as prospect validation and classification, and delineation of known reservoirs.
• Closely spaced grids of receivers are required for the acquisition of 3D seabed-logging data.

3D surveys can be used to add detail in any of these applications and in field appraisal and development.

Surveys parameters are also customised to optimise the results from each individual survey, for example, to acquire data in shallow water or to obtain complementary data such as marine magnetotelluric (MMT) measurements.
