Shallow water

Many shallow water basins contain missed or bypassed reserves with relatively favourable development costs.

EMGS has overcome the challenges of seabed logging in shallow water and has performed surveys in water depths of less than 60 m. In shallow water, the water-air interface (airwave) component is strong and masks the subsurface signal.

We measure the magnetic and the electric field components, which enables us to perform advanced processing, such as up-down separation. This significantly reduces the airwave component, improving further processing and interpretation of data from shallow-water surveys.
