Can economic reservoirs be detected?

Initially, based on customer-derived parameters, fast 1D "plane layer" modelling is used to provide rapid analysis. It is aimed at answering the core question at this stage: is it possible, in this geologic setting, to detect economic reservoirs? This step will determine whether full survey modelling is go or no-go.

3D resistivity models

If the decision is made to proceed, state-of-the-art, commercial model-building software is used to develop realistic and detailed 3D resistivity models.

Virtual surveys

Finally, using algorithms developed in-house, we are able to run a series of virtual surveys. This process completes the assessment of survey feasibility and allows us determine the best acquisition parameters for the local conditions: frequency mix, receiver placement and source towing geometry.

Optimised survey design

The output is an optimised survey design, that ensures, once at sea, we are able to provide accurate and validated information to our customers.
